ABOUT US The Religious Partnership for the Anacostia River is a new project uniting people of faith across the region initiated by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Earth Conservation Corps, and the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington in consultation with religious leaders from across the DC region. The Partnership has its origins in the two fundamental religious tenets widely shared across faith traditions: that we are called to help people less fortunate than ourselves, and that we ought to be responsible stewards of creation. In furtherance of these shared beliefs, the Partnership intends to effectively contribute to the restoration of the Anacostia River and to tangibly assist the residents of the neighborhoods around it.
